![]() ![]() The vine swings are a bit glitchy and I got buried into the ground and zipped off the map. ![]() So you can create the large shield by having a cube and pressing attack and shield at the same time, but the timing needs to be really precise and I don't see the benefit of it. I think I need to try shooting projectiles while also using the shield to defend though. I don't see a reason not to always have a cube so the cute melee attacks don't come into play, and the projectiles aren't as effective against mobile enemies. I love how easier it is to burst since you need a single button press to create the cube, but as a consequence I still stick to it as my main attack option. And that's super easy to do compared to the first game. If you burst downwards while falling it barely has an effect, but if you time it with a jump or spring I think your reach doubles. I got hit while recovering the bike and that apparently gave me an extra bike.Ĭarol's disc is really going to take some getting used to, especially when it comes to pressing a different button depending on whether you want to get on the bike or not. So far I haven't managed to lose the bike, so once you get it it's a permanent powerup? It's interesting that you can switch your bike on and off with the disc though. I got so used to breaking collectibles with it in the first game. The bike is somewhat more limited now that the boost doesn't do damage. It reminds me of one time I played FP1 with input lag, but it's not quite input lag.Ĭarol can't wild claw twice in the same jump? Maybe it's just movement in general that's heavier. I know for one that you lose speed when uppercutting while moving, which didn't happen in the first game, but it's a bit hard to pinpoint other reasons. Lilac's attacks feel somehow less fluid than their original counterparts. Not sure if it's a result of unfinished animations, but when Lilac stops looking up her her is suddenly up high, so there's a jerky transition there. I don't love how Lilac doesn't get a major speed boost when divekicking into a slope anymore. I love how there are different guarding animations when standing, jumping and running.
